DPW has completed the first two phases of road repairs in St. Croix’s Hermon Hill using local funds for neglected neighborhood roads not part of the federal highway system.

VI WAPA has replaced aging iron pipes in downtown Christiansted with new PVC pipes that improve water quality and will serve downtown business and residents for decades to come. WAPA has installed over 15,000 feet of new piping and has received more federal funds to expand the territory’s water distribution system.

DPW continues to decrease the backlog of road maintenance with repairs to over 6.5 miles of roadway from St. Croix’s Buccaneer Hotel to Teague Bay. This is one of 34 road projects in both districts funded through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
